Stockton, Calif. - The Pacific men's tennis team dropped a 4-3 decision at home to Fresno State on Wednesday, Feb. 11. The Tigers are now 0-6, while Fresno State improved to 3-1.

"We were up 3-1 with a lot of momentum but Fresno State's top guys stepped up and took the match to us," said Head Coach Ryan Redondo. "Unfortunately, we didn't get it done and it resulted in our fourth 4-3 loss in a row. We aren't dead so we should be getting tougher but we need it consistent. We had two top guys out today and came within a couple games here and there for the win. Saturday will be a great opportunity with our first WCC match at USD."

The Tigers took the doubles point and added a pair of singles wins from Alex Giannini (No. 4) and Bernardo Oliveira (No. 6) to take a 3-1 lead. FSU countered with four singles wins at No. 1, 2, 3 and 5 to clinch the match. Pacific is very close to breaking through, losing each of the last four outings by one match.

The Tigers are next in action with a road match at San Diego on Saturday, Feb. 14 at 1:30 p.m.
