Honolulu, Hawai'i - The Pacific men's tennis team were edged at Hawai'i for the second straight day in Honolulu with a 4-3 loss at Hawai'i on Sunday, Jan. 25. The Tigers are now 0-4, while Hawai'i improved to 1-2.
The Tigers dropped the doubles point, going into singles part of the match down 1-0. The Tigers took control at 3-1 with straight set victories from Sem Verbeek, Miguel Diaz and Ashwin Sharma at No. 1, No. 2 and No. 5. Hawai'i won at No. 6 and No. 3 to even it 3-3. Felix Albert of Hawai'i defeated Alex Hamilton 7-6, 3-6 and 6-4 to clinch the victory.
The Tigers are next in action in their home opener against Cal Poly on Saturday, Feb. 7 at 1:00 p.m. at the Hal Nelson Tennis Courts.
