Napa, Calif. - The Pacific men's tennis team won the 2014 Napa Silverado Resort Invitational. It was great start for the Tigers in their first tournament of the year, as the team won the tournament based on most total victories. Other teams at the tournament included Oklahoma State, Fresno State, Pepperdine, UNLV, Hawai'i, and USF.
The Tigers also came out on top individually as Miguel Diaz, Alex Hamilton, and Ashwin Sharma clinched their respective division. Daniel Alameh went undefeated at the top spot as well to bring the trophy home as a team.
"I'm very proud of the team," said Head Coach Ryan Redondo. "They stuck to all of our match tips all weekend. They had the growth mindset and were very professional. It looked like they had a lot of fun competing and being challenged."
