Box Score Los Angeles, Calif. - The Pacific women's soccer team dropped a 3-0 decision at No. 14 USC on Friday, Sept. 12 at McAlister Field. The Tigers dropped to 2-5-0 on the season, while USC improved to 5-0-1.
The Tigers held USC scoreless in the first half, though they were out-shot 14-1. Freshman goalkeeper Melissa Ma had four saves in the match, including three in the first half.
USC scored just under a minute and a half into the second half, on a goal by Tamara Mejia. Kayla Mills and Alex Quincey also scored second half goals for the Women of Troy. Pacific was out-shot 24-4 for the match, with Alex Hussar, Taylor Ayers, Ellie Papalexiou and Julia Beck all getting shots on goal.
The Tigers are next in action with a match at Cal on Friday, Sept. 19 at 1:00 p.m. Pacific returns to Knoles Soccer Field with a 1:00 p.m. match against UC Santa Barbara on Sunday, Sept. 21.
