The Tigers (1-9-1, 0-1-1 WCC) will look to win its second consecutive match against the Broncos (6-2-4, 2-0 WCC) after earning a 2-1 victory at home last season. In that match, the Tigers went down early but goals from
Gianna Gagliano in the 39th minute and
Kayla Pham in the 70th minute gave the Tigers the lead and the defense held its ground to earn the result.
Kaya Rosa continues to lead the charge for Pacific, scoring her team-high fifth goal of the year in Portland on Saturday to help the Tigers secure a draw last time out. The senior also paces the team in points (10), total shots (17), and shots on goal (12), ranking in the top ten in the West Coast Conference for each statistic.
Assisting Rosa on the attack,
Yohonna Bell and
Julie Valdez are tied for second on the team with three points, each tallying a goal and an assist each. Janelli Viallgran has also instilled fear in opposing defenses, tying the team lead with 17 shots on the season.
On the defensive side,
Nora Cullen and Gagliano will look to surpass the 1,000-minute mark this week, serving as the backbones of the team defense for head coach
Jeff Freeman and the staff.
In goal,
Ava Wells recorded ten saves over the past two matches, bringing her season total to 41, which ranks 2nd in the WCC, just three off from the league lead.
The defense will have to keep an eye on Santa Clara's Kennedy Schoennauer who tops the WCC in points with 21 and goals with 10. She also is just behind the conference lead in shots with 64. The Broncos currently ride a two game winning streak, with Schoennauer finding the back of the net once against Denver in the 3-0 win and twice in the 3-1 victory at San Diego.
On Saturday, the Redhawks (7-4-2, 1-1 WCC) will come into town for Pacific's Homecoming and Pink Game as the Tigers search for their first win against the conference foe. The team will feature a forceful attack, holding the highest goals per game (2.15) and shots per game (19.5) averages in the WCC.
Spearheading the efforts for Seattle is U'i Kaaihue who holds the team lead in points (17), goals (6), and shots on goal (28), ranking top five in the conference in each. She is one of three on the team with double-digit points in the 2026 campaign.
Both matches will be broadcast on ESPN+, with Wednesday's starting at 7 p.m. from Buck Shaw Field at Stevens Stadium and Saturday's starting at 2 p.m. from Knoles Field.
