Napa, Calif. - The Pacific men's tennis team got off to fast start at the Napa Silverado Resort Invitational on Friday, Sept. 12. The Tigers picked up four wins, including three on the singles side. Daniel Alameh defeated No. 123 Ace Matias of UNLV 6-0, 4-6, 6-4 to get things going.
"Today was a great start to the Fall season," said Head Coach Ryan Redondo. "The tournament is very well run and it's always fun to play in such a nice environment. We started the day splitting the doubles and came on top with 3 wins and 1 loss in singles. Daniel Alameh started his year off with a nationally ranked win, which is always nice to see. Alex and Ashwin also played great singles making sure to capitalize and take care of their matches. Tomorrow is going to be another competitive day and we are looking forward to improving upon what we did today."
The Tigers continue play on Saturday.
