Stockton, Calif. - On Saturday, Pacific Track and Field will head to the Bulldog Invitational in Fresno, Calif. The meet, which will take place at Veterans Memorial Stadium in Clovis, Calif. as well as on the campus of Fresno State. Field events will get underway in the morning before the afternoon running events begin at 1:30pm.
Last time out on the track for the Tigers, the team competed at the Chabot CSU East Bay Legacy Invitational. it was a successful day for the Orange and Black, as sophomore Becky Grabow (Carson City, Nev.) broke the school record in the 1500m with a time of 4:48.32.
In the 100 meter dash event, sophomore Malaya Cabrera (Canyon Country, Calif.) and freshman Ebony Ezeji (Stockton, Calif.) , Matti Long (Sandy, Utah) and Sandra Padilla (San Jose, Calif.) will compete for the Tigers.
Sophomore Mia Knipper (Morada, Calif.) will race in the 1500m event while sophomores Sarah Bailey (Vernon, B.C., Canada), Jessica Guerra (Stockton, Calif.) and Dale Dong (Stockton, Calif.) will join junior Micaela Todd (Mill Creek, Wash.) in the 1500m distance, looking to take down Grabow's school record time.
Sophomores Grabow and Lindsay Wourms (Camas, Wash.) will join Dong and freshman Megan Hall (Rocklin, Calif.) in the 3000 meter distance.
Senior Lia Genovese (Bow, N.H.) will again compete in the high jump, looking to best her own school record.
The meet will feature the host Fresno State, UNLV, San Jose State, Bakersfield, Cal Poly, Cal State Northridge and the Tigers.
