Bandon, Ore. - After three day's of play at the Bandon Dunes Championships, the Pacific golf team finished in a tie for 13th overall after shooting a 305 over the final 18 holes on Tuesday, Mar. 11. The Tigers completed the tournament at +61, 913 which was won by Missouri which finished at +11, 863 as they held on despite shooting a +14 in the final round.
For the day, junior Drew Bender led the way as the third-year Tiger shot Pacific's best round of the week with an even-par, 71. Bender shook of a rough first two days on the links style course to find some scoring holes throughout the course with a trio of birdies. Just behind Bender on the day was junior Byron Meth who went +3 on the day but finished the tournament in a tie for 15th after setting himself up over the first two days of play. Meth started the round hot with three birdies over his first six holes of play on Tuesday but cooled off late in teh round to post his 74.
The Tigers are back in action at the Oregon Duck Invitational on Monday, Mar. 24 - Tuesday, Mar. 25.
