With one tournament under their belts in 2014, the Tigers head south to take part in the Farms Collegiate Invitational hosted by the University of San Diego from Feb. 10-11. The Tigers enter the tournament as the defending team champions after winning the 2013 edition by three strokes over WCC rival, Saint Mary's.
The two-day event will be held at The Farms Golf Club (par 72; 6,947 yards) in Rancho Santa Fe, Calif. On Monday 36 holes will be played with an 8:15 a.m. shotgun start, with 18 holes planned for Tuesday beginning at 8:00 a.m. with groups teeing off holes No. 1 and No. 10.
Hitting the course for the Tigers will be: Byron Meth, Matt Lee, SeungJae Maeng, Drew Bender, and Matt McClure. The Tigers are coming off of an eighth place finish at the Arizona Intercollegiate last week. Meth and Bender led the way for the Tigers as the duo put together top-12 finishes at the tournament in Tucson, Arizona. At the Farms, the Tigers will face off against a field full of WCC foes that include Loyola Marymount, Saint Mary's, San Diego, San Francisco and Santa Clara. Additionally, Denver, Duke, Fresno State, Kennesaw State, UC Riverside and UC Santa Barbara will join the WCC teams in Southern California.
