San Francisco, Calif. - The Pacific men's tennis team opened up play at the Battle in the Bay Classic on Friday, Oct. 10 with three wins in four matches.
The doubles team of Sem Verbeek and Alex Hamilton won two matches and will play the No. 2 seeds Bernardo Saraiva and Nils Skajaa of USF on Saturday morning at 9:00 a.m.
"We had a good start to the tournament with two solid dubs performances and solid singles matches," said Head Coach Ryan Redondo. "Sem took care of business and Alex put himself into a position to defeat the #1 seed, but fell short of the win. Most would say that it would have been an upset, but Alex's level of play is right there with him. Tomorrow will be another great day of learning and getting better."
