Sem Verbeek Drops Tough Match At ITA All-American Championships

Tulsa, Okla. - Pacific men's tennis sophomore Sem Verbeek lost a very tough match at the ITA Men's All-American Championships on Monday, Sept. 30. He fell to Gordon Watson of Florida by scores of 7-6, 6-7, 6-7.

Sem and doubles partner Daniel Alameh will face top-seeded Colin Roller and Joran Vliegen of East Carolina in the Qualifying Doubles Draw on Tuesday at 9:00 a.m.

"Sem lost a heart breaker today against a tough player," said Head Coach Ryan Redondo. "Sem battled and had many advantages through out the match, but didn't convert. Regardless of the result he competed like a true Tiger and is set for the consolation tomorrow as well as qualifying for doubles with Daniel Alameh."
