Verbeek Upsets No. 1 Seed At ITA Northwest Regionals

Moraga, Calif. - Pacific sophomore Sem Verbeek upset No. 1 seed John Morrissey of Stanford as the Tigers continued play at the ITA Northwest Regionals on Sunday, October 20, hosted by Saint Mary's.

Verbeek advanced to the singles Round of 8 with a 6-3, 6-3 win over win over Morrissey. In other Tiger action, freshman Lance Ngo dropped a consolation round match to UC Davis' Kyle Miller.

Verbeek will be in action on Monday in the Round of 8 against Sam McNeil of Fresno State.
