Pacific Finishes Final Round At The Rod Myers Invitational

Durham, N.C. - Closing out their two week road trip to the East Coast, the Pacific golf team completed play at the Rod Myers Invitational on Sunday, Oct. 13, with a 10th place finish in Durham, N.C. The Tigers posted a +14 on the final day of play to end the tournament at +22.

No. 38 Northwestern claimed both the team title with a score of -10 and the individual title as both Matt Fitzpatrick and Jack Perry tied for the championship with scores of -9. For Pacific, juinor Eric Sugimoto posted the team's top mark with a +5, 221 to finish tied for 28th overall. The third=year golfer posted Pacific's top round on the second day of play with a +2, 74.

Pacific will play at home for the first time in the new year in two weeks as the Tigers host the SCVB Pacific Invitational from Oct. 31 to Nov. 2. The Tigers will host the tournament at the Stockton Country Club for the first time and will have a Saturday finish for the first time in the current format of the tournament's history.
