Bremerton, Wash. - Returning back to the States from their overseas trip to Tokyo, Japan and the Top Cup, the Pacific golf team heads north to take part in the Kikkor Golf Husky Invitational hosted by Washington. The Tigers will take part in the 54-hole event from Monday, Sept. 17 - Tuesday, Sept. 18 at Gold Mountain Golf Complex in Bremerton, Wash. The Olympic Course of the golf complex where the tournament will be played on is a 7,124-yard, par-72 track that has hosted the 2006 U.S. Amateur Public Links Championship, the 2011 U.S. Junior Amateur Championship and the NCAA Men's West Regional twice (2010 and 2008).
Pacific will be one of 15 teams at the event that will three of the top 10 rated teams in the country in Oregon (5), Washington (6) and San Diego State (7).
Last week, the Tigers finished 9th at the Topy Cup in Japan as the U.S. saw a Japanese university take home the team title for the 15th time in the last 20 years. Individually, senior Alex Edfort posted Pacific's top finish as the fourth-year standout shot even-par for his three-day tournament to finish in a tie for 13th overall.
