Meadow Vista, Calif. - Completing day one of three at the Winchester Classic, the Pacific golf team found themselves 18 strokes back of the leaders on Friday, April 20. The Tigers finished seventh on the day at +20, 308 and trail the overall leaders, and host, UC Davis Aggies who finished at +2, 290.
Individually, the Tigers were led by junior Alex Edfort who ended his first round of action at +2, 74. The Somerset, N.J. native finds himself just outside of the tournament's top-10 as he ended tied for No. 11 on the leaderboard. The leader, Nevada's Kevin Lucas, completed the first round at -4 after shooting a round-best 68, one of just three rounds in the 60s on the day.
Round two of the tournament will begin at 8:00 am on Saturday, April 21 when teams tee-off for holes 19-36.
