Lakeside, Calif. - With their long road trip in full swing, the Pacific golf team took home a 12th place finish at the Barona Collegiate Cup on Friday, March 23. After darkness put an early stop to day one, the Tigers finished out second round action at the tournament in the morning before firing a +7, 367 in round three to close out play. Overall, the Tigers finished +27 over the three rounds of action. No. 12 ranked San Diego State took home the tournament title with a -29 showing over the two day event.
Individually, the Tigers top finish came from senior Dan Garcia who topped out in a tie for 27th overall. The senior picked up Pacific's top individual round of the tournament on its final day as Garcia shot a -3, 69 to complete his tournament at one-under par. Junior Alex Edfort came in right behind the senior as he shot a -1, 71 in round three play to complete the tournament at even-par.
The Tigers will hit the course once again on Monday, March 26 as they head to Eugene, Ore. to take part in the two-day Oregon Duck Invitational.
