Bandon, Ore. - Continuing their string of fourth places finishes during the Spring tournament season, the Pacific golf team used a late day push at the Bandon Dunes Championship to climb four spots on the final day on Sunday, March 18. The Tigers the final day of action at the tournament just 8-over, shooting a 292 to end with an 880, +28. Pacific finished knoted with Oregon State while trailing both No. 3 Washington and Long Beach State who finished tied for the tournament championship at +5.
Individually, the Tigers saw their freshman Eric Sugimoto take home a top-10 finish as the young golfer ended his stay in Oregon with a +2, 73 to tie for seventh overall. Sugimoto ended the tournament +2 overall by shooting a three-day total of 215. Behind his freshman teammate, senior Dan Garcia put together a strong showing in the Pacific Northwest as he took home a 12th place finish after shooing a +6, 219. Junior Alex Edfort shook off a rough first two days at the tournament to fire the Tigers' best round of the tournament on its final day when the Somerset, NJ native carded a -3, 68.
