Santa Clara, Calif.-
The Tigers faced stiff competition from the Broncos right from the start. Partners Alex Hamilton and Ben Mirkin were the only Pacificans that were able to secure a win in the doubles competitions.
After the Broncos picked up the doubles point, the Tigers prepared for the singles events. In the singles events the Tigers faced even greater competition. Though three of the Tigers lost in straight sets, three Tigers battled over a brutal three set match.
At the conclusion of the match, Coach Redondo stated, "Santa clara played with an emenous amount of desire today. It showed once again that even though we are in positions to win this match, we need to be able to be closers. We absolutely cannot let matches like this slip away if we want to be a top team."
The Tigers now prepare to compete against Nevada on March 4th.
