GAME NOTES - VS. UC IRVINE - SEPT. 23

After opening Big West Conference play on Wednesday with a loss against UC Davis, the Tigers will look to get back on track on Friday, September 23 when they host UC Irvine at the Alex G. Spanos Center. The Tigers, who enter the evening at 9-5 overall will face an Anteater team, 5-5 on the year, that is still searching to find its groove in the 2011 season.

Last season the Tigers swept both meetings with the Anteaters.  In game two of their first meeting, the Tigers posted one of their largest single-game victories in program history as Pacific held the Anteaters to just eight points.  The 25-8 victory was the largest single-game victory for the Tigers since the change to 25 point scoring and the second largest margin of victory overall in program history.  Overall, Pacific is 51-8 against the Anteaters and has won the last three meetings between the two teams.
