Box Score POCATELLO, Idaho – The Pacific women's volleyball program battled until the end, ultimately falling short to Wyoming 25-17, 23-25, 25-16, 25-22 to end the weekend from Reed Gym at the Orange & Black Classic.
 
The Tigers (4-8) kept the pressure on the Cowgirls (7-4), recording 152 attacks on the match. The team turned those into 48 kills, highlighted by a career-high 15 from freshman Vanessa Zussino. Zussino's previous high coming into the match was eight kills against UC San Diego.

Junior Nicole Zake also recorded double-digit kills with 11 to go along with her 11 digs for her fifth double-double on the season.
 
Junior Alessia Couchond orchestrated the Tigers offense, setting up her teammates with a season-high 36 assists. Couchond also made strong contributions defensively with 12 digs for her fifth double-double on the season as well.
 
Supporting Couchond defensively, three other Tigers recorded double digit digs. Sophomore Bella Gutierrez led the way with 18, while Zake and sophomore Ella Gridley each recorded 11.]
 
From the service line, Couchond led the team with two and Junior Gwen Hansen tallied her second on the season. 
 
Up next, the Tigers will open West Coast Confere action on the road in Denver. First serve is set for Thursday at 5 p.m. from Hamilton Gym. Pacific will have its first home match of the year on Oct. 8 at 6 p.m. against Portland.
