Salt Lake City, Utah -
The Tigers fought hard and played smart against the University of Utah and they earned a final match score of 4-3. The Tigers got off to a rough start having lost the doubles point, but quickly picked up the slack in the singles events. The four singles wins secured the win for Pacific. Three of the four matches were completed in two sets, and one was a tedious three sets and a tiebreaker in the third set. Freshman Lance Dugan remained composed and earned his victory with patience, focus, and a great deal of discipline.
After the match Coach Redondo stated, "I am so proud of the team today. They came up here and had to fight their hearts out. We started slow in doubles but really showed character today! Hats off to Lance Dugan for finding himself out there and staying disciplined!"
The Tigers' next opponent will be BYU in Provo, Utah at 1pm PT.
