Tigers Defeated Saint Mary's College 6-1

Moraga, Calif. -

The Tigers may have had to reschedule, but that didn't set them back. They competed confidently and took the win. Pacific first seized the doubles point with two strong wins.  The first victory was for the duo Fernando Ristow and Angus Thomson and then partners Alex Golding and Tomasz Krzyszkowski who managed a close win with a score of 8-6.

After the doubles matches had concluded, the Tigers split off and prepared for their singles matches.  The Tigers clinched five of the six matches resulting in the final score of 6-1, in Pacific's favor.  Pacific senior Fernando Ristow had a confident match One match that was especially close was that of Tomasz Krzyszkowski which was a split set battle that resulted in Tiger's favor in the super tiebreak.

After the match, first season Head Coach, Ryan Redondo, stated with joy, “I am so proud of the guys today.  To come out and get the doubles point and not let up on a solid Saint Mary's team is awesome.  Like all the other matches, the Tigers have come out and finished the match showing they have heart and determination.  To come out today and compete the way the Tigers did today was another step toward where we know we are going.”

The Tigers now prepare for their home match against Fresno Pacific on Saturday, February 26th at 11am.  The match will take place at Hal Nelson Tennis Courts.
