Tigers Head Home After the Quarterfinals

Malibu, Calif.-

The Tigers competed in their third day at the USTA/ITA Southwest Regional in Malibu, Calif. Pacific got off to a steady start when duo Ivan Castro and Alex Hamilton defeated UC Irvine's Jacob Jung and Shuhei Shibahara with a final match score of 8-4.  However the Tigers came up short in the Quarterfinals against the second seed Pepperdine's Hugh Clarke and Finn Tearney 8-4.

In the third round of the singles consolation bracket, Loyola Marymount University's Daniel Simko defeated Ben Mirkin in a match in which each point made a difference.  Their final score was 6-3, 4-6, (10-8).  Erik Cederwalll however defeated Cal Poly's Sebastian Bell 6-4, 6-2 and advanced to the Quarterfinals.  In the quarterfinals, Cederwall came up short with a final score of 6-4, 6-3 aginst UC Riverside's Felix Macherez.
