Pacific Set To Hit The Course At The Alister MacKenzie Invitational

Fairfax, Calif. - Ready to hit the links for their second time in 2011, the Pacific golf team heads to Meadow Club in Fairfax, Calif. where they will take part in the Alister MacKenzie Invitational hosted by Cal on October 17-18.  The Tigers will be one of 16 teams at the tournament as they will send senior Dan Garcia, junior Alex Edfort and freshmen Eric Sugimoto, Drew Bender and Byron Meth to take on some of the nation's best.

The two-day, 54-hole tournament will be played at the par-72, 6,718-yard Meadow Club with the first 36 holes taking place on Monday before a final 18 holes are played on Tuesday.  Last season, Cal defended their home tournament with a two-shot victory over San Diego State.  For live updates on the tournament and its participants, the 2011 invitational can be followed at GolfStatResults.com.
