The Tigers made quite the impact at the first day of the Battle of the Bay Classic.  Senior Ivan Castro won both his matches and will be moving on to the semifinals of the singles main bracket.  Junior Alex Golding made it to the round of 16, and freshman Erik Cederwall came up short of the win in the round of 32 of the singles draw.  

In the consolation bracket, both Cederwall and Hamilton came up short in the first round. The doubles bracket proved to be a challenge for the Tigers, but duo Golding and Cederwall advanced to the quarterfinals. 

The Tigers will be continuing on to day two of the tournament, and senior Ivan Castro will play in the semifinals. Day one proved successful and to be a learning experience for the newest Tiger team members. They gained experience by competing against seeded players, and began building a solid foundation of skills they can carry with them throughout the Fall and Spring season.
