Indian Wells, Calif. - The No. 58 Pacific men's tennis team suffered a 7-0 loss at the hands of No. 26 Washington on Tuesday, Mar. 24.
The loss snaps Pacific's five-match winning streak, dropping the Tigers to 7-5. Washington, meanwhile, moved to 11-5 following the victory.
After moving up to the No. 54 slot in the national rankings thanks to a five-match winning streak, the Tigers had to face formidable task of playing the No. 26 Washington Huskies, despite making the eight-hour drive from Stockton, Calif. to Indian Wells, Calif. in the afternoon on Monday, Mar. 23.
The Tigers claimed the No. 3 doubles match as freshman Karl-Erik Paaro (Tallinn, Estonia) and Christian Kuehne (Morbach, Germany) defeated Washington's Tobi Obenaus and Matt Stith, 8-5.
Unfortunately that was the only victory for Pacific.
Pacific hosts Montana on Thursday, Mar. 26 at 3 p.m. in the Tigers' Hal Nelson Tennis Courts.
