Stockton, Calif. - The Pacific women's swim team fell to the University of Denver of Saturday, November 7 by a score of 150-103. With the loss the Tigers fall to 2-2 on the season.
In the 200 Medley Relay, the relay team of seniors Melissa McGhee (Elk Grove, Calif.), Devonie Migues (Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif.), sophomore Elena Walterman (Framingham, Mass.), and freshman Mallory McGowan (Colusa, Calif.) finished in second, with a time of 1:50.10.
Sophomore Jayme Swalin (Kenmore, Wash.) finished in second-place in the 200 Free with a time of 1:56.67. In the 500 Free, Swalin touched the wall first at 5:03.93. Senior KC Albiston finished third in the event at 5:11.87.
Migues had a first-place and two second-place finishes for the Tigers. She took first in the 200 Breast, completing the race at 2:23.94. In the 100 Back, Migues posted a time of 58.20 to take second. Migues touched the wall for second place at 24.68 in the 50 Free, just three-tenths of a second after Kristin Schmid of Denver.
McGowan recorded a first-place finish in the 100 Breast, swimming her season-best time of 1:06.92.
Swimming a 2:06.45 in the 200 Fly, Walterman took second-place. She had another second-place finish in the 100 Fly, recording a time of 57.78.
McGhee swam the 200 Back in 2:07.63, to take second-place. In the 400 IM, McGhee posted a time of 4:32.55 to take first in the event.
The Tigers will be back in action on November 21 to take on Fresno Pacific and UC Santa Cruz at 12:00pm in Fresno, Calif.
