Stockton, California -
The Tigers couldn't ask for a better tournament, a better setting or better weather. They could ask for lower scores however as a final round 286 doomed Pacific to eighth place at the Pacific Invitational on Wednesday.
Junior Patrick Kucich continued his steady play throughout the fall season, shooting a final round one-under 71 to finish in eighth place individually with a 209. Junior Alex Johnson, coming off his first collegiate victory last week finished in 13th with a 210 and Ben Bauch closed out with a two-over 73. TJ Bordeaux struggled down the stretch to a 72 and Danny Garcia's final round 77 shot him out of contention for Pacific, finishing 50th in his first Pacific Invitational.
For the second year in a row, the previous season's runner-up came back to take the team title as UC Davis managed a one-shot victory over Brigham Young behind sophomore Tyler Raber's individual victory.
