Bauch's 66 Has Pacific in Third At The Pacific Invitational

Nov. 2, 2009

Stockton, California - Freshman Ben Bauch continued his stellar play as of late with an opening round 66 at the Pacific Invitational at Brookside Country Club Monday, November 2nd. His five-under round was the lowest under-par round of any Tiger since the Pacific Invitational began in 2006.

Bauch's 66 put him in fifth place individually following the first round of play and gave the Tigers a hold on second place behind co-leaders UC Davis and Oregon.

Alex Johnson, coming off his first collegiate victory last week shot a 69 to compliment Bauch while Patrick Kucich shot an even-par 71 and TJ Bordeaux chipped in a one-over 72.

UC Davis' Tyler Raber and Oregon's Eugene Wong lead the field with opening round 64's. Play continues tomorrow and Wednesday at Brookside Country Club. Go to www.pacificinvitational.com for more details.
