Stockton, Calif. - The Pacific women's swim team captured a win against the Seattle University Redhawks by a score of 111-94 on Friday, October 30. This win brought the women's team to 1-1 for dual meets on the season.
During the first event of the evening start, the relay squad of senior Devonie Migues (Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif.), freshman Mallory McGowan (Colusa, Calif.), senior Melissa McGhee (Elk Grove), and sophomore Jayme Swalin (Kenmore, Wash.) took first place in the 400 Medley Relay with a time of 3:57.84.
Freshman Jenna Chaplin (Nassau, Bahamas) touched the wall at 10:43.78 to take first-place in 1000 Free. Freshman Laurie White (Jacksonville, Fla.) finished third with a time of 10:54.16. Chaplin earned her second first place finish in the 500 Free with a time of 5:17.16.
The Tigers took first and second-place in the 200 Free, with Swalin finishing at 1:55.97, and senior KC Albiston (Salt Lake City, Utah) at 1:56.75.
In the 50 Free, freshman Becca Wyant (Redmond, Wash.) completed the race first with a time of 25.71.
Migues earned two first-place finishes, with a time of 2:09.89 in the 200 IM and 58.63 in the 100 Back. Finishing just after Migues in the 100 Back was McGhee, who touched the wall at 1:00.79. McGhee took first in the 100 Fly, posting a time of 58.97.
The Tigers will be back in the pool on Saturday, October 31 at 12:00 pm to take on Cal State Bakersfield.
