Turlock, California -
Led by three players in the top 20 the Pacific golf team finished seventh at the Stevinson Ranch Invitational, Tuesday, April 8th. TJ Bordeaux, Chris Rosenau and Alex Johnson posted individual scores of 223, 224 and 224 for the two-day tournament.
Bordeaux, who shot a final round 78, finished in 14th at the 7,205-yard Stevinson Ranch. Rosenau and Johnson both posted final round 74's to keep the Tigers in the middle of the pack. Senior A.J. Hohn had third round 75 while junior Charlie Van Sicklen ended with an 81.
"If nothing else this course and these conditions teach you to control your ball," said head coach Brandon Goethals. "This finish isn't a reflection of where we are or where we came from as a team. If we can build off this and learn from it going into the end of our regular season then that in itself is a victory."
New Mexico State took the team title at 872, eight over par while St. Mary's of California and host Colorado finished close behind. Anthony Michael of Oklahoma City University came back from the middle of the pack with a 66 to take a three stroke victory.
