Stevinson, California - Paced by freshman T.J. Bordeaux's 73-72 the Pacific golf team shot rounds of 305-295 during the first day of the Stevinson Ranch Invitational. Bordeaux is in sixth place individually while the Tigers sit in seventh.
Bordeaux's one-over par opening 36-hole score put him in good position going into tomorrow's final 18. Senior Chris Rosenau bounced back from an opening round 78 with an even par 72 in the afternoon while freshman Alex Johnson combined a 76 with a second round 74 to join Rosenau at 150. Senior A.J. Hohn put together rounds of 78 and 77 while Charlie Van Sicklen posted scores of 83-79.
"The wind blew pretty hard today and there's a reflection of that in everyones scores this morning," said head coach Brandon Goethals. "However, that's something that we adjusted to in the second round and our scores reflect that. We'll come out tomorrow, stick to our gameplan and play the type of golf we've shown the last few tournaments and anything can happen."
