Stockton, Calif. - The Pacific men's tennis team fell to No. 70 UC Irvine in their final home match of the season on April 12 at the Hal Nelson Tennis Courts in Stockton, Calif. With the loss, the Tigers' overall record on the season fell to 9-10 on the year and their Big West record dropped to 3-2, while the Anteaters improved to 9-12 overall and 2-1 in Big West play with the win.

In doubles action, Moritz Starke (Bamberg, Germany) and Renan Delsin (Santa Cruz da Conceiacao, Brazil) earned the Tigers only win of the afternoon as they defeated UC Irvine's Ajay Ahluwalia and Victor Lamm at the No. 1 doubles position 8-3.

In singles play, Starke and Delsin earned the Tigers only singles win on the day as well as Starke defeated Alex Sundling by a score of 6-4, 6-4 at the No. 1 position and Delsin defeated Khunpol Issara 3-6, 7-5, 6-4 at the No. 4 spot. Senior Austin Kakar (Paradise Valley, Ariz.) lost the final home match of his career in the contest 6-0, 6-4 at the No. 6 spot. Kakar teamed up with David Gonzalez (Guayaquil, Ecuador) at the No. 3 doubles spot earlier in the day in a match the two lost 8-6.

The Tigers final match of the season before the Big West Championships is up next and will be against Fresno State in Fresno, Calif. at 1:00 p.m. on April 20.
