Tempe, Arizona -
Seniors AJ Hohn and Chris Rosenau shot rounds of 69 and 74 during the second day of the ASU Thunderbird Invitational to keep the Tigers in the pack at Karsten Golf Course. The seniors' play led the Tigers to rounds of 292 and 293 after 36-holes at the 7,002-yard, par 71 course.
"Today was all about opportunities," said coach Brandon Goethals. "A lot of teams went over par and we had a chance to play well and gain some ground. We didn't do that but we hung around enough to have a shot to move up tomorrow."
Freshman TJ Bordeaux followed up his opening round 72 with a two-over 73 while Alex Johnson posted a 77 and Charlie Van Sicklen a 79.
"To finish three-under my last four holes and birdie my last two is something I'm really proud of," said Hohn. "It's something we've been working on, finishing strong and that's exactly what I was able to do today."
Hohn - 74-69 = 143
Rosenau - 70-74 - 144
Bordeaux - 72-73 = 145
Van Sicklen - 76-79 = 155
Johnson - 79-77 = 156
