Provo, Utah - The Pacific men's tennis team was tied 3-3 with the Portland Pilots on Mar. 15 after singles play in Provo, Utah, when the match was disrupted due to do travel constraints by the Portland men's tennis team. Although the doubles matches were not played, the Tigers won three of the six singles matches on the day, including another victory at the No. 1 position by Moritz Starke (Bamberg, Germany).
In addition to Starke defeating Portland's Bryan Thorp 6-3, 6-4 at the No. 1 position, the Tigers also won two other singles matches. Other winners for the Tigers were Artem Gramma (Krivoj Roj, Ukraine) and Vegerd Veskimagi (Saku, Estonia). Gramma defeated Charlie Yemm at the No. 3 position 6-2, 6-3, while Veskimagi defeated Renaldo Domoney 6-3, 7-5.
The Tigers will next be in action on Mar. 17, when they take on Georgia Southern and Marquette at the Hal Nelson Tennis Courts in Stockton, Calif. Pacific's match against George Southern will start at 11:00 a.m., while their match against Marquette will being at 5:00 p.m.
