Stockton, Calif. - After the weather forced play indoors due to rain, the Pacific men's tennis team fell to local rival Sacramento State by a score of 4-3 on Feb. 24 in Stockton, Calif. With the loss, the Tigers fell 4-3 on the year, while Sacramento State improved their record to 3-3 on the year with the win.

In the singles matches, which were played first, David Gonzalez (Guayaquil, Ecuador) defeated Artur Klemenka 6-4, 7-5 to improve his spring singles record to 7-0 on the year. Renan Delsin (Santa Cruz da Conceiacao, Brazil) and Chase Oliphant (Indio, Calif.) also won their single matches on the day as Delsin defeated Sacramento State's Holden Ching at the No. 3 position 6-2, 6-0 and Oliphant defeated Ronan Conlon 6-3, 6-0 at the No. 6 spot.

Later, after both teams were tied at three points a piece, the Tigers were not able to pull out the victory as Sacramento State pulled out impressive wins at the No. 1 and No. 3 doubles positions. Winning the sole doubles match for the Tigers on the afternoon was the team of Delsin and Artem Gramma (Krivoj Rog, Ukraine), as they defeated Holden Ching and Ronan Conlon 9-8(3). That win came after the match was already decided.

The Tigers will look to bounce back against Oregon in Eugene, Oregon on Mar. 7, as they now have almost two weeks off. Matches will start at 1:30 p.m.
