Rancho Santa Margarita, California - The Pacific golf team is alone in second place after the first two rounds of the Big West Championship after shooting back-to-back rounds of 292 at Tijeras Creek Golf Club. Behind junior

Thomas Petersson, fourth and fifth place, the Tigers have a two-shot hold on second place and are in the final pairing tomorrow morning with UC Irvine.
Rosenau shot an opening round 69 and Petersson followed up with a 69 of his own in the second 18 holes of the day at the par 72 course. Rosenau finished the day at -2 and Petersson is at -1 for the championship.
Junior A.J. Hohn contributed a second round even par 72 while sophomore Charlie Van Sicklen finished at eight-over. Freshman Bayhaan Lakdawala chipped in with a 155.
"I'm really proud of the way our team played today," said Goethals. "There's a lot of golf to be played and I look forward to seeing how we handle the opportunity tomorrow. All in all, I'm excited to see the Tigers in the final pairing of a championship."
Nationally ranked UC Irvine is in first place a -14 while Cal Poly sits two strokes behind the Tigers at +10. John Chin of UC Irvine shot a 65-70 to take the individual lead into the final round tomorrow morning. The Tigers are in the final pairing with the Anteaters and will tee-off beginning at 8:45 Tuesday morning.
