Despite Earning Upset of No. 8 Doubles Team, Tigers fall 7-0 to No. 53 Stanford

Stanford, Calif. - The Pacific men's tennis team suffered a 7-0 loss to No. 53 Stanford on Tuesday, April 17.

The loss dropped the Tigers to 2-17 on the season, while Stanford moved to 8-15 overall.

The highlight of the match came at the start as the Tigers top doubles team of senior Vladimir Zdravkovic (Pancevo, Serbia and Montenegro) and sophomore Moritz Starke (Bamberg, Germany) defeated the eighth-ranked doubles team in the country, Matt Bruch and Blake Muller, 8-5. The Tiger duo handed Stanford's top doubles only their fifth loss of the season.

The Tigers will be back in action on Friday, April 20 as Pacific hosts Sonoma State in their final regular season match of the season at 2 p.m. in Hal Nelson Tennis Courts.
