Ja-Neil Bragg Competes in Day Two of the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships

Minneapolis, Minn. - Junior Ja-Neil Bragg (Manteca, Calif.) competed in her second event of the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships on Mar. 9 in Minneapolis, Minn. She finished in 21st place in the 400 IM, which is her highest finish at the NCAA Championships in the last three years.

Bragg finished the 400 IM with a time of 4:17.67, which is just seconds behind her school record of 4:15.21 set in 2006. Yesterday she finished in 33rd place in the 200 IM with a time of 2:01.33. She holds the second fastest time in school history in that event with a time of 2:00.98.

"I am very proud of Ja-Neil's performance this weekend as it was a great way for her to finish her junior season," said Head Coach Greg Meehan. "She is already focused on coming back next year and finishing in the top 16."
