Ja-Neil Bragg Competes in Day One of NCAA Championships

Minneapolis, Minn. - Junior Ja-Neil Bragg (Manteca, Calif.) competed in her first event of two at the NCAA Championships in Minneapolis, Minn. on Mar. 8. Bragg finished in 33rd in the 200 IM prelims with a time of 2:01.33. She will compete in the 400 IM tomorrow morning. The winner of the 200 IM was Whitney Myers of Arizona. Myers finished with a time of 1:57.25.

Bragg's time was her second fastest of the year in the event as she qualified for the championship meet with a time of 2:01.05 at the Texas A&M Invitational on Nov. 17 earlier this year. Last season at the NCAA Championships, Bragg finished in 44th in the 200 IM with a time of 2:03.04 and in 32nd in the 400 IM with a time of 4:22.09. She will compete in the 400 IM tomorrow.
