Stockton, Calif. - Coming off their first victory of the season, the Pacific men's tennis team played well but fell to No. 75 Cornell, 5-2, on Wednesday, March 21.
The Tigers fell to 1-10 on the season following the loss, while Cornell moved to 12-2 overall.
Sophomore Moritz Starke (Bamberg, Germany) and freshman Vegerd Veskimagi (Saku, Estonia) nabbed victories at the No. 1 and No. 3 singles spots. With the win, Starke moved to 9-2 at the top singles spot for Pacific this season.
Pacific will be back on the courts on Friday, March 23 as the Tigers host Northern Arizona at 2 p.m. in the Hal Nelson Tennis Courts.
