Santa Cruz, California - The Pacific golf team finished in 15th place at the Western Intercollegiate, Tuesday, March 20th, shooting a final round 298 at Pasatiempo Golf Course. The Tigers were led by junior A.J. Hohn's 54-hole score of 221.

Pacific battled back from 17th place after scores of 302 and 299 during day one of the 61st Western Intercollegiate. Hohn led the Tigers individually, placing 39th place after shooting a two-day score of 221.

Senior Thomas Petersson and junior Chris Rosenau finished in 55th place, posting rounds of 74-77-75 and 77-73-76 respectively. Freshman Bayhaan Lakdawala and Patrick Kucich shot scores of 229 and 235 at the 6,432-yard, par 70 course.

"There's not a lot to be happy about after this performance," said coach Brandon Goethals. "However, it's only a failure if we fail to learn from what we did in this tournament. We will learn from this as we always do in everything we do."

Purdue University took the team title, shooting rounds of 279-283-287. John Streibich of Xavier took the individual title, posting scores of 67-69-63=199 to finish the tournament at 11-under.
