Long Beach, Calif. - With one day left in the 2007 Big West Swimming and Diving Championships the Pacific women are in second place with 481 points and the men are in fourth with 409.
In day three's action the Tigers came out strong breaking two school records. Those records were set by juniors Wojciech Betlej (Mielec, Poland) and David Dunn (Morgan Hill, Calif.). Dunn finished in first in the 100 Breast with a time of 54.35 and Betlej finished in second in the 100 Back with a time of 48.59.
Also posting impressive performances in day three were juniors Krzysztof Zoldak (Oswiecim, Poland) and Ja-Neil Bragg (Manteca, Calif.) and sophomore Jun Huang (Guangzhou, China). Zoldak finished first in the 400 IM with a time of 3:51.94, Bragg finished in second in the 400 IM with a time of 4:17.84, and Huang finished second in the 100 Back with a time of 55.64.
"We had an incredible morning session," said Head Coach Greg Meehan. "I am proud of our team's effort and I am proud of David and Wojciech's school records. It should be an exciting day tomorrow and I am looking forward to seeing what we can do."
