Pullman, Wash. - The Pacific women's swim team completed a very successful weekend appearance at the Debbie Pipher / Washington State Invitational as the Tigers finished second to Big Ten power Ohio State on Saturday, Nov. 3.

Final Results for the Invitational were: Ohio State 212.5, Pacific 206, Washington State 204 and Idaho 124.5.

Pacific started the action off with a victory in the first event on Saturday as the Tigers captured the 200 Medley Relay. The team of junior Jenny Lewis (Hesperia, Calif.), senior Ziada Jardine (Cape Town, South Africa), junior April Woo (Honolulu, Hawaii) and senior Ja-Neil Bragg (Manteca, Calif.) posted a time of 1:45.53, just under a full second in front of the Washington State relay team.

Four events later in the 100 Free, Lewis earned her third individual event victory of the invitational as she finished the 100 in 52.02.

Bragg nabbed her second individual victory two events later in the 200 IM. Bragg won the race with a time of 2:03.94 as she also earned her second individual win as well as her second pool record. Bragg snagged a pool record on Friday in the 400 IM. Her time in the 200 IM not only set a Gibb pool record, but also qualified Bragg for the NCAA 'B' cut.

Unfortunately the Tigers were not able to hold off Ohio State as the Buckeyes captured the final two events.

The Tigers will be back in action on Friday, Nov. 9 as Pacific hosts Denver in a dual meet for both the women's and men's teams. The meet will be the first event held in Pacific's newly renovated Chris Kjeldsen Pool. The meet is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
