The Pacific men's golf team finished day one of the Big West Conference Championships in fifth place. The Tigers shot a 594, 54-hole score at Tijeras Creek Monday, April 24.
Freshman Charles Van Sicklen led the Tigers with a three-over 147; he posted a 74-73 to sit in 10th place going into tomorrow's final round. Both sophomores Chris Rosenau and A.J. Hohn sit in 13th, shooting 148's at Tijeras Creek's 6,918-yard course.
Thomas Petersson finished day one in 25th at 76-75 and freshman Adam Beckman rounded out the Pacific field with a 78-77=155.
Cal Poly leads the season-ending tournament at three-under while Ryan Panichpakdee of Long Beach State leads the individuals at six-under.
