Costa Mesa, Calif. -
The Pacific golf team played the first 36-holes of the Anteater Invitational through wet conditions Monday, February 27 at Mesa Verde Country Club. The Tigers shot a 294-304=598 at the UC Irvine hosted tournament to finish Day One in fifth place.
Junior Thomas Petersson shot a one-under 69 to open things up for Pacific and followed up with a 79 on the par-70, 6,695-yard course. Petersson's 148 sat him in 15th place, nine strokes back from the leader, Travis Bertoni of Cal Poly. Bertoni carded a 69-70=139.
