Tigers Defeated By Pepperdine, 3-0

Stockton, Calif. - The Pacific men's volleyball team fell to the Pepperdine Waves 30-20, 30-23 and 30-25, Friday, February 24th at the Spanos Center. The loss gives the Tigers a 4-9 overall record on the season and moves them to 2-7 in the MPSF.

The Tigers, playing the number three ranked Waves, could not manage a set victory as they fell to Pepperdine for the second time this season. Senior Brian Adamson contributed 18 kills for the Tigers, who played without junior hitter Andreas Baboulidis.

In all three sets the Tigers stayed close early on but dropped points to the Waves, surrendering any momentum late in the game. In the third set the Tigers were down early but fought back to get within three points late in the game but could not pull out a victory.

Mitchel Hazelett, setting for the Tigers, recorded 29 assists and sophomore Pekka Seppanen collected seven kills on the night. For Pepperdine, Paul Carroll recorded 11 kills and John Parfitt had 10.

The Tigers are back in action tomorrow, Saturday, February 25th as they play the Southern California Trojans for the third time this season.
