Stockton, Calif. - The Pacific Tigers men's tennis team defeated BYU, 6-1, on Friday, Feb. 24.
With the win the Tigers moved to 7-2 on the season, while BYU fell to 3-6.
Pacific senior Arnar Sigurdsson (Kopavogur, Iceland) captured the match clinching point for the Tigers as he defeated BYU's James Ludlow, 6-2, 6-3 at the No. 1 position.
Sigurdsson also captured the decisive point in doubles with teammate Tim Koniarski (Bad Abbach, Germany) as the duo defeated BYU's Christian Hand and Jonathan Sanchez, 8-6.
Pacific will be back in action on Sunday, Feb. 26 as the Tigers travel to San Diego, Calif. to face San Diego State. The match is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m.
