Stockton, Calif. - The Pacific Tigers men's tennis team captured its first Big West Confernce match of the season, 5-2, over UC Irvine on Saturday, Feb. 11.
With the win, the Tigers moved to 4-2 overall and 1-0 in the Big West Conference. UC Irvine, meanwhile, fell to 2-6 on the season and 0-1 in conference play.
Junior Vladimir Zdravkovic (Pancevo, Serbia and Montenegro) paced the Tigers as he dropped just two games in his singles victory over Andrei Radulescu at the No. 3 singles position. In doubles competition, Zdravkovic teammed with senior Jorgen Vestli (Hamar, Norway) to claim an 8-2 win at the No. 1 spot.
The Tigers will be back in action on Saturday, Feb. 18 as the Tigers host Saint Mary's at 12 p.m.
