Tigers Begin Day one of Texas A&M Invitational

College Station, Texas - After day one of the three day Texas A&M Art Adamson Invitational, the Pacific men are in fourth place and the Pacific women are in sixth. Junior Krzysztof Zoldak (Oswiecim, Poland) took home the only Tigers' first place finish of day one by winning the 200 IM with a time of 1:47.14.

The Pacific men finished in third in the 400 Medley Relay with a time of 3:21.45 and fifth in the 200 Free Relay with a time of 1:24.90. Wojciech Betlej (Mielec, Poland), David Dunn (Morgan Hill, Calif.), Zoldak, and Seth Urban (Centennial, Colo.) made up the 400 Medley Relay team for the Tigers; while Dunn, B.J. Damazo (Paradise, Calif.), Thomas Peart (Livermore, Calif.), and Urban swam the 200 Free Relay.

Junior Ja-Neil Bragg (Manteca, Calif.) and sophomores Justin Canty (El Cajon, Calif.) and Maxwell Maris (Highlands Ranch, Colo.) were also amongst the top competitor for Pacific in day one of the meet. Bragg finished fourth in the 200 IM with a time of 2:01.03, while Canty and Maris finished fourth and fifth in the 500 Free with times of 4:32.54 and 4:32.90.

Other schools competing in the meet are Louisiana State University, Texas A&M University, Southern Methodist University, University of Illinois, and University of Michigan. University of Illinois and University of Michigan are only swimming their women's teams.

The Tigers will be back in action tomorrow, Nov. 17 for day two of the Texas A&M Art Adamson Invitation. Events are listed to last all day.
